Hyderabad, November 10: Any project which had been carried out by Huzoor Nizam Mir Osman Ali Khan was unique of its kind and exceptional. The beautiful building of High court which you see in the Hyderabad city is also the result of good efforts of Huzoor Nizam. Huzoor Nizam laid the foundation of this splendid building on April 15, 1915. The building was completed on March 31, 1919. The High Court was inaugurated by Nawab the VII Nizam Mir Osman Ali Khan on April 20, 1920. The building was constructed with a cost of 28 lakh rupees at that time. There are 20 court halls and 24 chambers in the high court.
‘Osmania Adalat-e-Alia 1328’ is inscribed on the plaque made of marble at the entrance arch of the building. But now negligence is meted out towards this historical plaque. Though it is in good condition and can be seen clearly but it is faded off since long. The matter inscribed on it can be read with great difficulty. Though the construction work in the high court besides three tombs is going on, no attention is paid towards this plaque.
The plaque which is faded off requires to be repainted so as to make the inscription readable. There is a measuring balance hanging over the plaque which means that justice would be done for each and everyone. Renovation work is in progress at High Court building with the budget allotted for its renovation and repair. Now it remains to be seen that how Urdu language will be treated and will justice be done towards the mother tongue of the man who erected this beautiful building?
