JOB DESCRIPTION:
Position Overview
NISC Export Services Pvt. Ltd. (NES) provides cutting edge technology for one of the leading players in the online publishing product space, and is seeking a Senior Java Developer to play a key role as part of Content System Engineering development team. NES is looking for an excellent engineer to help support existing applications as well as contribute to the development of new project initiatives.
The candidate must be able to quickly come up to speed on the existing product and take an active role in discussions of architecture, design, development, and troubleshooting issues. Candidate should be able to execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to organizational standards, practices and procedures. In addition, candidate must have good
organizational skills and have the ability to collaborate and work directly with our internal customers to solve complex business and technical issues.
The position is based out of Hyderabad but the individual will work directly as part of an Agile Release Train (Team of Teams) that is spread across Ipswich, Massachusetts and Hyderabad, India. Travel to Ipswich may be required for training or other purposes.

Essential functions:
Design, development, testing and maintenance of software systems
Research, diagnose and troubleshoot dev/production problems related to software applications
Follow Test Driven Development approach
Working in a Scaled Agile environment, setup iteration goals, make work commitments and work collaboratively to meet commitments
Participate in daily stand ups, mid iteration review, retrospective and PI planning events
Work collaboratively with product owner/BA to gather requirements and develop approaches for implementing features and/or resolving problem
Collaborate with QA to develop comprehensive test plans / test automation.
Create unit tests to support continuous integration
Help, guide and review the work of other team members
Address problems of systems integration, compatibility and multiple platforms
Enhance organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different work requests
Skills
Must Have Skills
Overall 7-10 years of IT experience
7+ years of development experience in Java
5+ years of experience in database related technologies
3+ years with object-oriented design/development principles
2+ years writing technical documents/specifications and comfortable documenting functionality/applications as required to benefit dev and QA teams
Demonstrated experience in working with onsite/offshore model
Strong experience in designing, implementing and managing high performance scalable J2EE applications on Linux/Windows platforms with some of the following skills: Core Java, Spring,
Hibernate, SQL, JSP, JavaScript, Java Web Services, Design Patterns, Ajax, JMS, XML
Working experience with Lean/Agile methodologies
Dedication and discipline toward work
Bachelors degree
Nice To Have Skills
Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) experience is a strong plus
