Job Description
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Work on Project tasks to implement proposed design/solutions
Ensure proper operations of the Client installations
Propose new solutions
Working with inshore/offshore team for transition,
Coordination with other project team
Troubleshoot system malfunctions
Investigate and analyze the root of problems
Provide high quality technical support
Perform 2nd level troubleshooting of Cisco Routers, Switches and Wireless (and Riverbed)
Perform Event, Incident, Change and Problem Management as per ITIL standards defined in CLIENT
Manage Network Management Tools MRTG, SolarWinds, CiscoWorks Prime Infrastructure, Syslog, NetFlow, TACACS, etc.
Coordinate with L3/Architects to manage incidents and ensure resolution within SLA
OOHS (On Call) support for WAN/LAN/Wi-Fi related issues.
Training L1 operations team on technologies
Defining and documenting operations tasks
Define, document and manage implementation of network-wide changes
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
University Degree in Electronics/ Computer Science/ Electrical required with 4 years or more experience in LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi deployment and support
Must have at least 3 year experience in Remote Mgmt.
CCNP certification in Routing and Switching mandatory
Steelhead Appliance Operation and Troubleshooting
Trained in ITIL (v3) best practices mandatory.
IT SKILLS
Experience with install, configure, monitoring and troubleshooting of Cisco LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi technologies.
Experience with WAN technologies such as BGP, EIGRP, failover configurations, Frame-Relay, MPLS, etc.
Experience with LAN technologies like, VLAN, VTP, HSRP, STP, etc.
Experience with Cisco Wireless technologies
Experience with troubleshooting Riverbed Steelhead Appliances
Experience to Network Management tools like CiscoWorks Prime Infrastructure, SolarWinds, Netflow, Network Analyzer, MRTG etc.
Knowledge of call ticket system (BMC Remedy, ITSM)
Experience with a wide range of Cisco Products related to Routers, Switches, Wireless LAN Controllers, and other supporting products.
