Hi,
Please find the JD as below for the network engineer position with us
Perform installations, repairs, upgrades, backups, and other GOC-related maintenance tasks.
Create virtual servers and desktops following established procedures or Run Books.
Monitor and test Data Center and Network performance, providing performance statistics and reports.
Receive and respond to incoming calls, pages, and/or e-mails regarding network connectivity problems, server problems, or other data center issues.
Diagnose, resolve, and document hardware and software Infrastructure problems.
Troubleshoot networks, systems, MACs, PCs, laptops, phones, office equipment, and applications to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational difficulties.
Aid in development of business continuity and disaster recovery plans. Maintain current knowledge of plan executables. Respond to outages in accordance with business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
Collaborate with engineers to create optimal network design topologies and configurations.
Provide phone and desk-side assistance in resolving technology support issues.
Recommend, schedule, and perform GOC improvements, upgrades, and repairs.
Data restores from tape, when needed.
Planning, installing, configuring, maintaining, and optimizing all hardware, software, and communication links while ensuring minimal downtime.
Qualification :
Four-year degree in related field, or equivalent experience.
At least three years of IT customer service support experience, plus at least three years of advanced technical support in a structured team environment. Project Management experience is preferred.
Advanced knowledge of network printers, Windows XP, 7, Office 2007, 2010, Mac and Office 2013. Intermediate understanding of networking fundamentals.
Familiar with Citrix, GPOs, Service Now, ADUC, VPN, VMware, Nimsoft and RDC.
Advanced troubleshooting and repair skills of computers, printers, and related peripherals.
Advanced understanding of software configurations, compatibilities, and licensing.
Strong troubleshooting experience within OSI Layers 1-5 with the ability to operate network component analyzers, scanners, sniffer, packet capture software, and test equipment
