The Role
We are looking for an Electrical Manager for Borr Drilling Ltd.
Role Summary:
The Electrical Manager will be responsible for electrical equipment and installations reporting to our Vice President Asset Integrity. This position will be based in Dubai.
Responsibilities:
Participate in the development of maintenance system for the fleet of rigs
Ensure that electrical equipment and el-installations are carried out in accordance with relevant regulations
Approving electrical modifications and deviations to the fleet
Perform audits on electrical installations during pre-drilling phase and operations
Give technical advice to offshore electricians
Responsible to ensure that electrical personnel have the relevant competence and approval candidates prior to hiring
Oversee work with critically analysis of electric equipment for the fleet
Responsible for follow up of electro and instrument installations
Requirements
Qualifications:
Trade certificate as electrician with a ship`s electrician module and at least 2 years’ experience as senior electrician on-board an installation or ship
Documented high-voltage competence
Technical college – Electrical Engineering
Additional documented automation experience would be advantageous
Knowledge of rules and regulations within electrical discipline
Fluent in English (verbal and written) with the ability to work with internal onshore teams and offshore personnel
Willingness to travel
