Tasks to be performed:
Build and Lead DFS vertical of the Company
Lead the team in providing technical assistance to Financial Institutions including banks, Business Correspondent of Financial Institutions, Technology Service providers and other stakeholders in implementation of DFS.
Developing training curriculum and providing training to various government, financial institutions and MNO staff on relevant Digital Financial Services topics.
Capacity building of partner organizations staff on DFS (Digital Financial Services) and DFL (Digital Financial Literacy)
Managing, Monitoring and Supervising extensive surveys on agency banking/ Digital Financial Services across the assigned project areas, using qualitative/quantitative survey techniques.
Responsible for Business development within the existing markets and new markets;
Achieving, financial targets of the business unit;
Working on short-term and long-term consulting assignments in India/ abroad;
Developing project deliverables, such as business plans, work plans, quarterly reports, training materials, etc.;
Supporting field-based projects with research, data analysis and project management activities;
Assisting in the collection, analysis and synthesis of market or institutional assessment data;
Business development including writing concept papers and proposals;
Developing financial budgets for projects.
Functional Competencies
Knowledge about digital financial services and national payment systems
Exposure to Banking, MFIs and Community based financial institutions including Cooperatives and SHGs/ SHG Federations
Adequate understanding of key players in digital financial services and their interrelatedness.
Familiarity with the strategic, regulatory, and technical aspects of digital banking and payments systems development.
DFS consulting experience in India and abroad
Understanding of global trends in digital/mobile banking, and of emerging best practices and innovations, experience in emerging markets.
Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and presentation skills.
Educational Qualifications: Masters Degree in Information Technology/Computer Science/MBA/ Economics, Finance, Social Sciences, Rural Management or related discipline
Experience – Minimum 12-15 years of experience in consulting and/or operations with special focus on Microfinance or Banking Sector with at least 5-6 years experience in Digital Financial Services especially Agent Banking and Mobile Financial Services.
Desirable: Exposure to consulting assignments in India and/or abroad.
Other Qualifications:
Excellent verbal and written communication in English, technical writing, presentations and interpersonal skills;
Quantitative aptitude and understanding of financial concepts and analysis, coupled with advanced MS-Excel skills;
Detailed orientation and accuracy, with the ability to organize and deliver high quality analytical and written work against firm deadlines;
Ability to network with senior management staff of the clients, the donor organisations;
Ability to work effectively as part of a team;
Ability to work in ambiguous or rapidly changing situations;
Passion, enthusiasm and drive for results; and
Willingness to travel nationally and internationally.
Salary and emoluments:
Will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
