Hyderabad, August 03: The first organized training course on Hip Arthroplasty is being conducted by Mediciti Hospitals, a Hyderabad based hospital, in order to train surgeons for this procedure. This hospital is renowned for being India’s first facility to have excelled in computer navigated hip replacement.
Dr Ramesh Chandra serving in Mediciti Orthopedics department announced in a conference that with cutting edge medicines and surgery, high bearing hip replacements will assist people in leading productive lives.
Mediciti is performing computer aided navigation procedure for hip replacements with an objective to attain perfection as this would reduce the chances of errors in alignment from 17% (in manual cases) to 2%. This method guarantees durability of the joint and minimization of complications and discomfort.
The price remaining a little higher than orthodox methods still patients distressed from hip arthritis, accident vascular necrosis etc are recommended to undergo this surgery. The conferences will comprising of five live surgeries for the benefit of doctors and 150 to 200 doctors from across India would be participating and eminent surgeons from Germany, AIIMS of Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai and Chennai will form the panel of experts in guiding the interactive sessions during the conference.
