New Delhi, Oct. 19 : Lesser known right wing group Hindu Sena on Monday claimed the responsibility for the ink attack on Jammu and Kashmir independent MLA Engineer Rashid outside the Press Club of India here.
Delhi Police have detained two persons in connection with the incident. The arrested persons have been taken to Tuglaq Road Police Station for further questioning.
The protestors, who threw the ink, were raising slogans against Rashid for allegedly insulting cow.
Rashid was recently beaten up by the BJP MLAs inside the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly for allegedly hosting a beef party.
This comes close to the incident of ink being thrown at former BJP aide Sudheendra Kulkarni in Mumbai before a book launch of former Pakistani minister. (ANI)
