Hindu Mahasaba President furious over Agarwal’s statements says ‘he should be shot dead’

New Delhi: Hindu Mahasabha’s president Swami Chakrapani reacting to Samajwadi Party MP Naresh Agarwal’s suggestion reportedly said he should be shot dead since he was siding with Pakistan.

He had earlier suggested that the treatment of Jadav’s family in Pakistan was justified since the former Navy officer was a terrorist.

Agarwal later explained he never called Jadhav a terrorist and said “If Pakistan considers Kulbhushan Jadhav to be a terrorist, then it (Pakistan) will behave with him accordingly; in India we must treat terrorists in a similar manner, with toughness, adding his statement started with ‘If’.

Swami Chakrapani alleges Agarwal was speaking in “Pakistan’s language” and that an enquiry should be carried out on Agarwal to determine if he was saying such things on Pakistani’s behalf.

Referring to Sarabjit who died in Lahore Jail after convicted for spying, he said, “If our MPs call Kulbhushan a terrorist, it will be a morale booster for Pakistan, and they might make a Sarabjit out of him…”

However, Sarabjit Singh’s family claimed he was arrested after he mistakenly entered into Pakistan’s border in an inebriated state.

Meanwhile, Naresh Agarwal has written to Rajya Sabha chairman saying no ‘stern’ steps are taken by BJP Government despite Indian prisoners mistreated in Pakistan Jails.

Here’s Naresh Agarwal’s original remark in Hindi: Agar unhone (Pakistan) Kulbhushan Jadhav ko aatankwadi apne desh mein mana hai, to wo uss hisaab se vyavhaar karenge; humare desh mein bhi aatankwadiyon ke saath aisa hi vyavhaar karna chahiye, kada vyavhar karna chahiye.

After Jadhav’s family meeting in Islamabad, India’s foreign ministry in its statement said, “…from the feedback we have received of the meeting, it appears that Shri Jadhav was under considerable stress and speaking in an atmosphere of coercion.”

“Most of his remarks were clearly tutored and designed to perpetuate the false narrative of his alleged activities in Pakistan. His appearance also raises questions of his health and well being.”

The Foreign Ministry has accused Pakistan of allowing the press to harass Jadhav’s mother and his wife while also showing no regard for Indian culture.

Union Minister Sushma Swaraj, is set to speak about the family’s meeting in Parliament today, India today reported.
