At a time when Uttar Pradesh is shamed by brutal killing of Akhlaq over alleged beef eating, there are incidents of harmony which remind us that the idea of India will never die.
According to the report, a group of Hindu devotees in Mumbai helped a Muslim woman give birth.
Ilyaz Shaikh, resident of Mumbai city, was taking his pregnant wife to hospital while she was in labour, Noor Jahan Shaikh was forced to exit the taxi by the driver, as he did not want her to deliver the baby in his vehicle.
Some female devotees sitting outside the temple rushed immediately to provide help after seeing her screaming in pain. The women created a temporary delivery room with sarees and bed sheets with in few minutes, and Noor finally delivered a healthy child, a baby boy.
Noor Jahan said, “I was tense when I was drop down by the texi driver in the middle of the road. But when I saw that there was a temple, I realized that God himself is watching over us”.
“And fortunately Hindu devotees did not think twice before helping me out”, said Noor jahan.
The couple went to the hospital after the delivery and the doctors said there were no signs of complications. The happy couples are now going to name the baby by Lord Ganesh.
