Hindu communal elements active before Eid-ul-Azha

Once again the Hindu communal organizations have become active. They have started stopping the vehicles carrying animals. They are confiscating the animals and assaulting the driver and the owners. In the name of Gow Rakhsha, they are also confiscating bullocks and calves whereas under the prohibition of slaughter act is applicable only in respect of cows. There is no ban on transporting buffalos, bullocks and calves. They are also seizing the vehicles and pressurizing the police authorities to register cases against the lorry drivers and the transporters of animals. It is reported that many activists under the stewardship of Raja Singh, many activists are attacking these vehicles at the highways. Raja Singh himself admitted that his workers are stopping the vehicles and handing them over along with the animals to the police. According to a report, the activists of Govraksha Samithi stop seven vehicles near Medchal and handed over 430 animals to police and shifted them to Bairamguda. Four days ago also, these activists stopped two vehicles near Topran and seized the animals. In Patencheru also animals were confiscated. In Ibrahimpatnam, 500 animals were shifter to Gowshala. Although police have been dispersing such communal elements but they are assembling from time to time and creating troubles. They are influencing the police and forcing them to take action. Due to this there is communal tension in rural areas.

For the past few days, it has been observed that those who sell the animals pass on the information to communal elements. It is advisable that the Muslim traders after purchasing these animals should put a condition to the sellers to deliver the animals in the city limits. Only then, payments should be made. By doing so the so-called activists of Gow Raksha Samithi would become helpless because they can’t take the risk of indulging into conflicts with the people of their own community.
