New delhi, February 08: The 30-year-old son of a politician from Himachal Pradesh died morning when his car crashed into a stationary dumper carrying iron rods.
According to the police, Abhishekh Kumar Singh, who worked with an advertisement agency in Delhi, was returning to his Noida home around 4 am when his white Hyundai Accent car crashed into the dumper parked on Mahamaya flyover.
The station house officer of Sector-39 police station, Anil Samania, said: “The victim’s car was coming from Kalindi Kunj flyover and took turn on Mahamaya flyover, where it crashed into the dumper. The iron rods loaded on the dumper pierced through the car’s front window, killing Singh.”
The rods pierced Singh’s head, the police said. He was rushed to Bhardwaj Hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival.
Singh lived in Sector-40, Noida, and worked with Chromosome, an advertisement company in Delhi. His father, Karan Singh, belongs to the royal family of Kullu and had joined Congress, Samania said.
The police are yet to decide on charges against the dumper driver who parked the vehicle on the flyover.
