Hillary has no desire to rule the White House

Washington, October 13: US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton says that she would not compete for another presidential election after her defeat in the 2008 vote.

In an interview with NBC channel on Monday, the first female candidate for the American presidency expressed satisfaction with her current job at the White House.

When asked about running for president again, Clinton’s reply was “No.”

“I mean, this is a great job. It is a 24/7 job. And I’m looking forward to retirement at some point,” she said from Zurich, Switzerland.

The former New York senator will turn 62 at the end of October and she would be nearing 70 by the time of the 2016 election.

When asked about being marginalized in the Obama administration, Clinton called it absurd.

“I think there is some misunderstanding, which needs to be clarified. I believe in delegating power. I’m not one of these people who feels like I have to have my face in the, you know, front of the newspaper or on the TV every moment of the day,” she said.

“I would be irresponsible and negligent were I to say, ‘Oh, no, everything must come to me.’ Now, maybe that is a woman’s thing. Maybe I’m totally secure and feel absolutely no need to go running around in order for people to see what I’m doing. It’s just the way I am,” she added.

In 2008 poll, the former first lady was a candidate of the Democratic Party, but she lost nomination to current President Barack Obama.
