High security in Uttarakhand after Amritsar blast

Dehradun (Uttarakhand): After grenade explosion at a religious gathering in Amritsar, high security is being maintained throughout the state of Uttarakhand.

Earlier on November 18, a grenade attack took place at Nirankari Bhavan at Adhiwala village near Raja Sansi area in Amritsar, claiming lives of three people while injuring at least 20 others.

In the wake of the deadly attack, the security in Uttarakhand has been heightened after inputs of possible movement of Khalistani supporters.

“Punjab police had worked out the matter and stated that anti-national elements want to revive terrorism in Punjab. We’re alert in Uttarakhand too. Although people here are wise and we had held public meetings with them,” ADG (Law and Order) Ashok Kumar told ANI.
