The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Wednesday directed the Anti-Corruption Bureau to submit a comprehensive report on the liquor syndicate scam within two weeks.
The High Court expressed displeasure over the tardy progress of liquor syndicate case by the ACB. While hearing the ACB version on the progress of case, the bench headed by interim Chief Justice Pinakini Chandra Ghosh and Justice Vilan V Afzal, asked as to how long the investigations would go on and when the final report on liquor syndicate would be submitted to the court. The ACB’s counsel claimed that the investigating agency has been submitting the status report on investigations every two months.
Not satisfied with ACB counsel reply, the court directed the ACB to submit a comprehensive report on the scam in two weeks time apart from submitting a weekly status report on investigations. (INN)
