AP High Court passed orders directing NTR Health University not to approve the admission lists of private medical college. Justice C.V. Rangarajan passed these orders on the petitions submitted by the students.
The judge ordered not to ratify the lists submitted by the private medical colleges unless they exhibit transparency in admissions. The students in their petition contended that the managements of private medical colleges have sold out the seats of 40% management quota for huge amount and by there they have violated the guidelines framed by the Govt.
The judge admitted the petition for hearing and ordered NTR Health University to file its counter affidavit. Last month, Governor of AP Mr. E.S.L. Narasimhan had also expressed his concern on the complaints of the students that private college managements are selling medical seats after receiving lakhs of rupees as donations. A few years back AP High Court has issued orders to fill up management quota seats on the basis of merit.
