Hyderabad, October 30: A division bench of the AP High Court comprising chief justice Nisar Ahmad Kakru and justice Vilas Afzulpurkar on Friday extended by two weeks time to SKS Micro Finance to make available various details for its registration under the new ordinance.
The bench made the order in an application filed by the micro finance company seeking six weeks’ time to furnish the said details.
State advocate general D V Sitaram Murthy said that certain minimal information must be supplied immediately.
The bench accordingly directed the petitioner to submit within a week portions of the requirements to enable the mandatory registration.
Notices to DGP, home secretary
Justice Tamada Gopala Krishna of the AP High Court on Friday ordered notice to the principal secretary, home, director general of police and the principal secretary general administration, in a contempt case on steps to be taken to stop telecast of various programmes under the cable network system.
The judge was dealing with a contempt notice filed by a practising lawyer Kameshwar Rao.
The petitioner contended that despite directions from the High Court on January 9 and 20 the police authorities did not take necessary steps to curb telecast of violent events and incidents.
The judge gave 10 days time to the police and the government to spell out the steps taken in this regard.
