High Alert in State following Telangana note

The state police was been put on high alert by the Ministry of Home Affairs in the wake of the likelihood of Telangana note coming up before the Union Cabinet meeting this evening.
The state police administration was directed by the Union Home Ministry to remain vigilant and step up security measures in Telangana as well as Rayalaseema and Coastal Andhra regions in view of the high speed developments in the national capital on the T formation process.

Consequent to the directive e from New Delhi, the State DGP Prasad Rao held discussions with senior police officials and reviewed the law and order situation in the state, especially in the Seemandhra region. He directed the concerned DIG and SPs top remain vigilant in view of the fast-paced political developments and nip in the bud any breach to law and order.

As reports about the T note getting ready for placing before the union cabinet for approval spread like wild fire, integrationists agitating for a united state in Samaikyandra region were enraged began raiding the residences of political leaders, especially that of the union and state ministers and MPs. In many parts of the region, the agitators and police were engaged in a clash before the residences of the leaders. Thus the police administration has beefed up security measures at the residences of political leaders. (NSS)
