High alert in Shamshabad Airport

A high alert has been sounded in the state capital especially at major installments including Shamshabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in view of the tension prevailing on the India-Pakistan border after the surgical attack by the Indian Army on terror hubs in Line of Control.

On the direction of the central government, security has been beefed up at vital institutions including airports in the country. The Union Home Ministry on Friday asked metros to stay vigilant for next 30 days.

The Army has laid restrictions on the movement of citizens in the Army areas in the city limits. Roads like AOC, Lalapet were sealed for general traffic. Only those possessing permits are being allowed in these areas, sources informed. (INN)
