Jalandhar: Three packets of heroin, worth Rs 15 crore in the international market, and a pistol were recovered from near Noorwala check post in Firozpur sector along the India-Pakistan border.
BSF Inspector General of Punjab Frontier Anil Paliwal today said that acting on a tip-off, the force personnel posted at the check post conducted a search operation at the area today.
Three packets of heroin, weighing one kg each, worth Rs 15 crore in the international market, a pistol, two magazines and 14 rounds of ammunition were recovered during the search operation, he said.
This year, till now, around 294 kg heroin has been recovered from India-Pakistan border in Punjab frontier, he said.
