New Delhi : Co-star Shahid Kapoor has a befitting reply to Kangana Ranaut’s recent statement about her being a “third hero” in ‘Rangoon.’
Talking to a leading daily, the 35-year-old actor said that there is nothing less in being a heroine, adding that he doesn’t agree with the thought process which believes “being hero makes you a bigger person.”
Amused at the 29-year-old actress’ claims of being the highest paid actress in Bollywood and that she got the same fee as Saif Ali Khan and Shahid for ‘Rangoon’, the ‘ Haider’ star said, “pay parity depends on the salability of a particular person.”
Adding to it, he said that irrespective of whether it is female-oriented or a male-driven movie, an actor is paid for his/her “viability.”
Period romance drama ‘ Rangoon,’ directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, will hit the big screen on February 24 next year. (ANI)
