New Delhi: According to the latest Trai data, Reliance Jio with an average download speed of 20.9 megabits per second on its network is the fastest telecom network in February.
The data published by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) showed the performance of Vodafone and Bharti Airtel remained almost flat at 9.4 Mbps and 6.7 Mbps compared to their performance in January, the data published by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) showed.
Idea’s average download speed improved to 5.7 Mbps in February from 5.5 Mbps in January. Despite the fact that Vodafone and Idea have merged and now operate as a single entity, Trai published their network performances separately.
In terms of the average upload speed, Vodafone was at the top as its network registered an upload speed of 6 Mbps in February from 5.4 Mbps in January.
The average upload speed of Jio improved with 4.5 Mbps whereas Idea and Airtel slightly declined in average 4G upload speed at 5.6 Mbps and 3.7 Mbps respectively in February.
The download speed is how fast you can pull data from the server to your device. It is the speed of loading web pages or streaming videos. The upload speed is how fast you send data from your device to others.
TRAI measures the average speed based on data it collects with the help of its MySpeed application on a real-time basis.
