Here’s the line-up for Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival 2017

New Delhi [India]: The 2017 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival lineup is now official, and this year’s two-weekend extravaganza at the Empire Polo Club in Indio is sure to be one for the ages, with Radiohead, Lady Gaga and Kendrick Lamar headlining the performances between April 14 and April 23.
If you were lucky enough to snag a pass to the Greater Palm Springs event-tickets for both weekends sold out in three hours on January 4-here’s what you have to look forward to between April 14 and April 23.

Radiohead will kick off the festival on April 14 and perform again on the 21st. Fans of the Thom Yorke-led band will no doubt be hoping to hear it perform alt-rock favorites as well as tracks from its first release in five years, ‘A Moon Shaped Pool,’ which was released in May 2016.

Originally on the docket for this year was first-timer Beyonce, but due to doctor’s concerns about her pregnancy, she will no longer be performing (but she plans to be back for 2018).

Keeping with festival tradition, this year’s collection of artists is extremely eclectic, ranging from the moody singer-songwriter Bon Iver to hip hop artist DJ Khaled and edgy New Zealand teen Lorde, who will be performing for the first time since November 2014.

Other notable artists performing at Coachella 2017 include: The xx, Bastille, Father John Misty, New Order, Hans Zimmer, Future Islands, Two Door Cinema Club, Future, Travis Scott, GoldLink, Devendra Banhart, and many more. An alphabetized list of all 2017 performers is available here.

Beyond the musical acts, Coachella has morphed into something of a cultural phenomenon, with fantastic food and high-wattage stars showing up in their best desert boho outfits. Artists also present large works, making the event a feast for the eyes as well as the ears-which is part of the reason why nearly 200,000 people attended the 2016 festival. (ANI)
