Varanasi [UP]: In a post on Facebook which went viral, it was claimed that the promise to change Varanasi into Kyoto is fulfilled. To show ‘Vikas’ in Varanasi, a photo of Chinese bridge is used.
According to the report published in The Quint, the post claimed, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi has fulfilled his promise of turning Varanasi into Kyoto”. It further blamed media and said that “secular media” never show this development.
It is also reported that the photo was first shared by a user, “RS Nagar”. The post is shared by many persons on social media.
It may be mentioned that the photo of Nanpu Bridge in Shanghai, China is used in the post. Nanpu Bridge connects central Shanghai with the Pudong district.
