Hyderabad: The All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen (AIMIM) supreme Asaduddin Owaisi took a direct jab at Modi over his ‘Hindu terror’ and questioned him whether or not Nathuram Godse was a terrorist or not.
Addressing rallies for his campaigns Modiji has been speaking on Hindu Muslim politics for vote banks rather than speaking on NDA government’s achievements as per the party’s claim over the past five years.
“Mr. Modi, the one who killed Mahatma Gandhi, what was he? Was Nathuram Godse Owaisi’s brother? Who was he? Wasn’t he a terrorist? Tell us Modi, who was Godse? Would you say? No, you won’t. You won’t say because you know you are trapped now. You are only weakening India by talking about Hindus and Muslims Mr Modi,” Owaisi slammed Modi for his excessive usage of Hindu terror.
Hyderabad MP has also called Modi for a debate where he reminded him of his usage of language despite being the nation’s PM.
Modi has accused Congress of coming the term Hindu terror during one of his rallies in Wardha.
“In our 5000-year old culture, it’s the first time the Congress-Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) committed the sin of calling the peaceful Hindus ‘terrorists’ and maligning them before the whole world,” IANS has quoted Modi as saying.
Referring to the 2006 Malegaon bombings, the Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has first held the Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) responsible for the attack and later on shifted the charge on to right-wing Hindu outfit Abhinav Bharat in a charge sheet filed in 2013.
Hyderabad MP Owaisi had previously demanded the arrest of UP CM Yogi Adityanath for creating hatred against Muslims when he called Congress leader Imran Masood a relative of Pakistani terrorist Masood Azhar.
He had also urged the Election Commission to register a case against Yogi under Section 153A of the Indian Penal Code for promoting hate speech.
