Mumbai, August 26: Her equation with the Deol family has always been a matter of speculation and curiosity. And Hema Malini proved that she was truly a befitting member of the extended family.
Reportedly, Malini was thick in the midst of filming scenes for ‘Tell Me Oh Khuda’..when she learnt of the death of Bobby Deol’s father in law, Devendra Ahuja. Pronto! Without a moment’s hesitation, Malini cancelled the day’s shoot and dashed off to be with Bobby Deol and his grieving spouse Tania.
States a close source, “We were all set to roll when we got a call from Hemaji that shooting was to be cancelled. She rushed off to be with Bobby and Tania in their time of grief. Hemaji must have faced monetary losses of upto a lakh or more, but she deemed it more fit to be with her extended family in their moment of loss. The Deol family has become quite close to her, because of Hemaji’s initiation to make it happen.”
