Speaking as chief guest, at the valedictory function of 45-day Vocational Summer Course conducted by Siasat daily and Minorities Development Forum here at Golden Jubilee Hall, Siasat, Andhra Pradesh Minority Commission Chairman Mr. Abid Rasool Khan announced that the commission will set up helpline centre at each block to make the minorities aware of the government schemes of minority welfare as due to lack of knowledge regarding government schemes minorities have suffered great losses. He revealed that government has agreed to give 4% reservations to Muslims in education and employment, in this background the minority commission has decided to conduct a survey on the social and economic status of Muslims in the state.
During his presidential address Mr. Zahed Ali Khan Siasat editor stated that a counseling centre will be set up at Mahboob Husain Jigar Hall by the government, where government will provide loan amount of Rs.1 lakh with 50% subsidy.
