Helpline in Anganwadis: Tummala

Women and Child Welfare Minister T Nageshwar Rao today directed the officials to set up help line in all Anganwadi Centers in the state to complain and increase transparency and also offer tabs for teachers. He held a review meeting at Secretariat here and said that Anganwadi Centers are need to have better work culture and transparency. Details of the students, regular menu and health steps should be updated by teachers in the tabs to improve services, Rao said.

The minister asked the staff and officials to ensure that setting up of helpline will avoid irregularities. If anyone indulges in irregularities complaints can be filed through helpline and set the things right, the minister said. As part of celebrating “Swaraksha Day” to check women trafficking on third Saturday across the state, steps should be taken for protecting the women. Through Anamica film so far 40000 women and girls were got awareness on illegal women trafficking and steps for protection.

He stated that women protection is important and steps will be taken to create awareness among them and children. Taking cooperation of voluntary organizations awareness classes should be conducted at schools and hostels for girls in a successful manner, the minister said.(NSS)
