Help cyclone-hit, CS tells Collectors

Hyderabad: Chief Secretary SK Joshi today directed the District Collectors concerned to take all measures and provide succor to people affected by Pethai cyclone in several districts in the State. He asked the Collectors of Adilabad, Asifabad, Bhadrachalam, Bhupalpalli, Jagtial, Komram Bheem, Mancherial, Nirmal and Peddapally to rush medicines, clothes and open rehabilitation centers to avoid inconvenience to the affected people.

Joshi conducted a video conference from Secretariat and instructed the collectors to set up rehabilitation centers and shift the affected people and provide them all facilities. The state is under Pethai cyclone grip as cold waves continue to give panic to people.

Joshi said as per Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s directive, the Collectors should gear up for providing immediate help to the victims of the cyclone. He asked the collectors to focus on to involve local leaders and take help from voluntary organisation to help the people. SK Joshi directed the collectors of effected districts to initiate measures for safety of the cyclone victims.
