Hectic lobbying is underway among minority leaders of Congress for the post of President State Congress Minority Department for which Telangana Pradesh Congress is seriously mulling over some names. President All India Congress Minority Department Khursheed Ahmed Sayeed has dissolved Telangana Congress Minority Department with immediate effect and directed President Telangana Pradesh Congress Ponnala Lakshmaiah to propose three names to elect new president from among them.
According to sources names of Syed Yousuf Hashmi, Jaber Patel, Sajid Pasha, ex-coordinator AICC Minority Department Mohammed Khaleeq-ur-Rahman, Telangana Pradesh Congress spokesman S K Afzaluddin, Congress leader Shaikh Abdullah Patel and others are under consideration.
