The Metrological department on Friday has forecasted a heavy to very heavy rainfall in many isolated places of TS and AP during the next 48 hours. Rain or thundershowers will occur at a few places in Rayalaseema on June 20.
After revising the southwest monsoon, the IMD predicted a heavy rainfall during the next three days in places, such as Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East & West Godavari, Krishna, Guntur, Prakasam and Nellore district and Nizamabad, Warangal, Karimnagar, Khammam and Nalgonda.
According to IMD reports under the influence of the low pressure area coupled with the South west monsoon which was active over the two states, isolated rain or thundershowers may occur in Telangana and Rayalaseema in next few days. During the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Friday the monsoon has been vigorous in Telangana.
“Nearly 75% stations in TS and AP are receiving rain, the conditions are favorable for further advance of monsoon, said IMD officer”.
