Tension in MP, 6000 safety males deployed

Fearing communal flare, heavy safety preparations have been made at and across the disputed website Bhojshala in the Dhar city of Madhya Pradesh.

According to reports, over 6000 safety males have been deployed as each the events failed to succeed in any consensus over the worship timings.

The disputed site Kamal-al-Din congregational mosque is protected by the Archaeolgical Survey of India and Muslims are allowed to offer prayers on Friday (Jummah) whereas, Hindus are allowed to enter and worship in the monument on Tuesdays and conduct a special puja on Basant Panchami.

But this year as the Basant Panchami falls on Friday and both the parties have failed to reach any settlement over the prayer timings, the authorities have made elaborate arrangements to tackle any situation.

However, according to some reports the right-wing Hindutva organisations have mischievously advanced the date of Basant Panchami festival by a day to February 12 to clash withFriday prayers of Muslims.
