The Hyderabad weather department has forecast that the two Telugu states would receive heavy rains in the coming days. According to Hyderabad Weather Centre director Karunakar Reddy, heavy rains will occur in all districts in Andhra Pradesh in the coming two days. He said that the Telangana state too would receive heavy rains here and there from June 8 to 10. Due to prevailing surface recurrence through North Coastal Andhra, rain will occur with thunderstorms.
He also informed that the South-West Monsoon would enter into two Telugu states between June 8 and 12. The monsoon would first touch Rayalaseema and spread all areas in two states, he added.
On Tuesday, heavy rain occurred at Tirupati. The streets become water logged with the thunder showers. Tirupati received rain on Monday night and again when the sanitary staff was trying to clear the nalas on Tuesday afternoon. Several trees fell down when rain was accompanied with strong winds. People of Tirupati were facing lot of difficulties as water submerged the roads.
Water Enters Sectt at Amaravathi
The heavy rains have once again exposed the hollowness of Chandrababu Naidu Government’s Amaravati claims. Water has entered into the Fourth Block of AP’s temporary secretariat at Velagapudi.
Reports said that due to the seepage of water, the work in the revenue section was badly affected. Meanwhile, several chambers and offices in the secretariat saw the roofs leaking. In the chambers of YSRCP chief and the Leader of Opposition in the AP Assembly YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, water was leaking continuously.
Meanwhile, incessant rains are wreaking havoc in Krishna and Guntur districts from Monday evening. In several places, trees were uprooted and electric poles damaged. In some places, the tin sheets on the roof have been badly damaged. Vehicular traffic has been badly affected in several places. In Guntur city, power supply has been cut off.(NSS)
