The South Central Railway on Sunday cancelled,partially cancelled, diverted or rescheduled 20 trains in view of over-flowing of water over Railway Bridge between Tuni and Gullipadu section on Vijayawada Division due to
heavy rains.
According to the SCR, following trains scheduled on Sunday have been cancelled:Tirupati – Bilaspur Express, Vijayawada – Visakhapatnam Ratanachal; Visakhapatnam-Vijayawada Ratanachal Express; Guntur – Visakhapatnam Simhadri Express;Visakhapatnam- Guntur Simhadri Express; Narasapur – Nidadavolu Link Express;Nidadavolu-Narasapur Link Express; Kakinada–Visakhapatnam; Vijayawada -Visakhapatnam; Visakhapatnam- Vijayawada; Visakhapatnam- Kakinada passenger;Rajamundry – Visakhapatnam passenger and Visakhapatnam- Rajamundry.
Two trains have been cancelled partially. The Secunderabad – Visakhapatnam Jhanmaboomi scheduled to depart Secunderabad at 07.10 am on Sunday was partially cancelled between Tenali and Visakhapatnam. Similarly, Visakhapatnam- Secunderabad Jhanmaboomi scheduled to leave Visakhapatnam at 06.00 am was partially cancelled
between Visakhapatnam and Tenali and will run from Tenali till Secunderabad.
As many as six trains were also diverted to run via Ballarshah, Nagpur, Bilaspur,Tatanagar and Kharagpur. They are Secunderabad-Guwahati Express, Yesvantpur-Bhagalpur Express, Kanyakumari-Howrah Express, Chennai-Howrah Mail, Villupuram- Puruli Express and Yeswantpur-Howrah Express.
The Hyderabad-Howrah East Coast Express scheduled to depart Hyderabad at 10.00 am on Sunday has been rescheduled to depart at 4 pm.
According to the SCR, these trains were cancelled, partially cancelled, diverted or rescheduled keeping in view of safety considerations.
