Heavy rain lashed the city on Tuesday evening. Secunderabad, Himayatnagar, Koti, Sultan Bazar, Ramanthapur, Uppal, Amberpet, Khairathabad, Punjagutta, Abids and Lakdikapul experienced heavy rainfall.
Due to the rain, low-level areas were submerged under rain water. The Electricity department stopped power supply during the rainfall. Vehicular traffic was also halted for several hours across the city.
The traffic at Basheerbagh to Liberty and Shadan College to Lakdkapul was moved at a snail’s pace.
