Hyderabad, October 06 (Siasat News): It poured cats and dogs for almost an hour in several parts of the old city last evening, with water gushing into the houses of low lying areas.
Two trees have been reported to fall down at Chandrayan gutta Midhani road.
The rain suddenly began in the evening in the parts of old city. The heavy rains made the flow of water difficult resulting in overflowing sewer. To release water from waterlogged roads citizens opened manhole covers.
Traffic was disrupted for two hours.
The residents of old city complained that despite several phone calls to emergency squad, contact could not be made with emergency squad of GHMC.
Once again poor arrangements of water outlet system have been exposed despite that clearing of gutters has not been completed by GHMC yet.
