(Siasat News) Many parts of A.P witnessed heavy downpour yesterday. In Hyderabad heavy rainfall started in the afternoon which continued late at night.
At many places in the city, it became difficult for commuters to cross the road due to heavy traffic jam.
In low areas, rain water entered into the houses. In many mosques, Jainimaz sheets which were spread for offering Salaat-e-Taraweeh got drenched. Taraweeh prayers in many mosques could be started late due to late announcement of Ramazan.
Hyderabad witness heavy downpour last night. The rain started in the afternoon yesterday which continued late at night.
Many areas of Tolichowki including Nadeem Colony, Meraj colony and Wali Colony were submerged. Many cars were stranded on the road. There was traffic jam at many places.
In miyanpur and Balanagar areas two incidents of collapsing of walls ue to heavy rainfall yesterday in which nine persons including two women were killed in the early hours of Saturday.
In Balanagar area near Narsapur crossroads, the wall of a painting company was collapsed killing five persons,three of them were from Madhya Pradesh and two from Hyderabad. The incident took place at 2.30 A.M. this morning. The wall of the painting company fell on the huts adjacent to it. This was reported by Mr. Srinivas Reddy. Inspector of police, Balanagar. Members of 10 poor families had erected huts abutting the compound wall facing the main road. The deceased persons had come from M.P to earn their bread by selling woolen blankets.
In a similar incident which took place at 4 a.m. at Hafeezpet area of miyan, a family consisting of 4 members was killed while they were asleep. The family consisted of a woman,her two daughters and her son.
