Hyderabad: The TPCC Election Committee on Tuesday discussed about probable candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The meeting was chaired by AICC State incharge RC Kuntia and TPCC president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy and senior leaders attended the meeting.
During the meeting, there was a heated discussion among the party leaders over Mahbubnagar and Nagarkurnool Lok Sabha seats. While former minister DK Aruna proposed the name of former Union minister S. Jaipal Reddy, TPCC president Uttam Kumar Reddy told Aruna that Jaipal Reddy was not interested to contest the elections. Aruna said it was not proper on the part of Jaipal Reddy not to contest the elections when the party was going through tough situation. She also wondered as to why Jaipal Reddy got tickets for his supporters if he was not interested to contest in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Then DK Aruna proposed the name of Satish Madiga for Nagarkurnool reserved seat. However, former MLA from Alampur intervened and urged the party leadership to include the names of eligible leaders in the LS candidates list. This made DK Aruna angry on Sampath. However, party in-charge Kuntia supported the argument of DK Aruna by coming to her rescue.
Party leader Sudheer Reddy objected to the name of former MP Madhu Yaski Goud from Bhongir MP seat. Intervening at this juncture, former minister Shabbir Ali asked Yaski to make up his mind from where he wanted to contest the elections. The other leaders of the party also urged the same to Yaski.
