Heat wave to continue in coastal AP, Telangana for next 2 days

Severe heat wave conditions would continue to prevail in Guntur and Krishna districts of Coastal Andhra Pradesh and heat wave would also prevail in Adilabad, Warangal, Khammam and Karimnagar districts of Telangana region during the next two days.

Heat wave conditions were likely to abate in coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and the forecast for Hyderabad city and neighbourhood valid until the morning of June 3, 2012, was that the maximum and minimum temperature would be around 41 and 29 degrees Celsius respectively, MET office said in a bulletin here today.

Yesterday, severe heat wave conditions prevailed in the districts of Krishna, Guntur and West Godavari of Coastal Andhra Pradesh and in Adilabad, Karimnagar, Khammam and Nizamabad of Telangana.

Dry weather prevailed over the state.

Yesterday, the maximum temperatures appreciably rose at one or two places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and changed a little over Telangana but appreciably fell at one two places over Rayalaseema.

They were markedly above normal at one or two places over the remaining districts of Telangana and appreciably above normal at one or two places over the remaining districts of Coastal Andhra Pradesh and normal over Rayalaseema.

The highest maximum temperature of 47 degrees Celsius was recorded at Adilabad, Khammam, Machilipatnam and Rentachintala, the bulletin added.
