Hearing on Praveen Togadia’s hate speech case on Jan 8

A city court will hear a petition filed against VHP leader Praveen Togadia on January 8.

The petitioner, Ghulam Rabbani, lodged a complaint before the VIIth Additional Metropolitian Magistrate stating that Praveen Togadia made a provocative speech on December 11 with reference to the controversy around the Bhagyalakshmi Temple abutting Charminar. He demanded registration of case under Section 295 A against Togadia.

Talking to reporters, Rabbani’s advocate Shaik Saifullah Khaled said that the court was likely to record the statements in this case on January 8. (INN)
