Hearing in Krishna water sharing adjourned to Aug 16

New Delhi, June 28: The Krishna Water Disputes tribunal on Monday adjourned hearing in the sharing of water between Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh to August 16.

The tribunal on Monday adjourned further hearing after the counsel representing Karnataka’s interest put forth its arguments.

The Karnataka counsel argued over the rationale behind in reviewing its verdict and presented its views.

Meanwhile, engineers, irrigation experts, and legal experts from Andhra Pradesh have prepared the state’s arguments to be put before the Tribunal over the injustice meted out to the state in the allocation of river waters.

AP State Advocate General Sudarshan Reddy has already hinted that the state would base its case on 14 points.
