Health Minister’s visit to Gandhi Hospital – RMO sent back

Hyderabad: Health Minister of Govt. of Telangana, Dr. Lakshma Reddy visited Gandhi Hospital suddenly and expressed his wrath on maladministration. He ordered for the transfer Dr. Saraswati, RMO for neglecting her duties. He met the patients in emergency medical wards and other wards. Patients were feeling inconvenience due to non-availability of stretchers in out-patient department. The Minister instructed for making the stretches available and said that in case of negligence, stern action would be taken.

On account of Minister’s sudden visit, the negligence of RMO, Dr. Saraswati was fully exposed. Her negligence was causing inconvenience to the patients. He announced that very soon an ICU ward would be setup with 65 beds in the hospital. He also assured that necessary infrastructure would be provided for setting up modern pathological lab.

Present on this occasion were Superintendent of the hospital and other officials. The negligence of duties of RMO was clearly evident in all the wards. The Minister, instead of taking any action against RMO, ordered for her transfer to Directorate of Medical Education.
