Head constable shot dead by constable

Nalgonda, November 08: A head constable was shot dead by a constable in Anneparthy village of Nalgonda mandal at the 12th Andhra Pradesh Special Police Battalion office on Sunday night.

According to information, Veeresham, a constable with the APSP picked up an argument with head constable CHV Narayana (34). The former then fired six rounds from his service revolver. Five bullets pierced through the latter’s body. A seriously injured Narayana was shifted to Nalgonda Government Hospital where he was declared brought dead. Officials said both Veeresham and Narayana had some financial disputes for a long time. Veeresham is a resident of Suryapeta town in Nalgonda district while head constable CHV Narayana was a resident of Markapuram Mandal in Ongole district.

Police have registered case and reportedly taken Veeresham into custody.
