Hyderabad, March 12: The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Friday directed the Hyderabad Central University (HCU) not to regularise Urdu lecturers who were appointed in 2010.
Justice Nooty Ramamohana Rao admitted a writ petition challenging the appointment of two Urdu lecturers contending that the authorities appointed them without following rules.
Mr Parvez Ahmad, one of the applicants, filed the petition. He submitted certain documents before the court to prove that the authorities violated rules while making the appointments.
He brought to the notice of the court that one of the lecturers’ name was included at the instance of the head of the department.
He told the court that another appointee was permitted to attend the interview without attending the colloquium.
The judge said that a prima facie case was made out and granted interim orders.
The court issued notices to the respondents seeking their stand on the plea and posted the case after six weeks for further hearing.
