HCA announces Rs 1 lakh grant for Vihari

The Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) has come out with a unique gesture for the best cricketing youngster G Hanuma Vihari, in Andhra Pradesh. The prolific middle order batsman has been named in the Indian team that is embarking on a tour of Australia for the ICC Under-19 cricket World Cup, slated to commence on August 11. Congratulating the player, who is an integral part of the current Hyderabad Ranji squad, HCA President G Vinod and Secretary, Dr M V Sridhar, said this was a momentous occasion for the Association.

They said Vihari had proven credentials, both as a member of the Indian Under-19 team in the quadrangular series that was held earlier in Visakhapatnam.

Meanwhile, as a morale booster, HCA announced a cash incentive of Rs One lakh from the Corpus fund to Vihari. “This is purely to inspire him further and provide confidence that there are people out there keen on taking care of his expenses,” they said. uni
