HC verdict on Revanth Reddy’s bail petition on June 30

The Hyderabad High Court will deliver its verdict on June 30 on the bail petition of TDP MLA A Revanth Reddy in the ‘Cash for Vote’ case.

The High Court has heard the arguments of both the Anti-Corruption Bureau and Revanth Reddy’s lawyer and reserved its judgment for June 30. While senior advocate Siddharth Luthra represented Revanth Reddy, Advocate General Ramakrishna Reddy argued for the Telangana Government.

Ramakrishna Reddy argued that the ‘Cash for Vote’ case was not confined to the MLC elections. He alleged that the incident was part of a larger conspiracy to destabilize the Telangana Government. He said the TDP could have easily destabilised the government by luring away 10 MLAs of ruling party.

Meanwhile, Revanth Reddy’s lawyer contended that the ACB has completed the investigation into the case and recorded the statements of arrested accused. He said Revanth Reddy would cooperate with the investigation agency and would abide by the conditions to be laid down by the court. (INN)
