Hyderabad: High Court on Monday rejected the petition filed by Nagam Janardhan Reddy, Congress candidate from Nagar Kurnool, against the Palamur – Ranga Reddy project. He moved the court alleging that commissions were involved in the implementation of the project works. He wanted the court to intervene and stop the works immediately.
He filed a petition (PIL 338) of 2017 alleging that the costs pertaining to certain works in package 1,5, 8 and 16 were hiked without any basis. The court, which examined the tender process through which the bids were invited, found to have no technical and financial irregularities. BHEL is one of the companies that was executing the works.
