New Delhi, April 05: The Delhi High Court today declined to permit blueline bus operators to ply vehicles in NDMC area after they claimed that the government has failed to provide adequate buses for transportation to general public.
A division bench headed by Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul dismissed the plea by Federation of Delhi Bus Operators saying that in larger public interest, the city government has decided to phase out the blueline buses all over the city and the court could not interfere in the decision.
The bench accepted the argument of Delhi Government counsel Najmi Waziri that the government had taken the decision last year keeping in mind public safety which is paramount.
