The Hyderabad High Court has directed the State government to conduct re-postmortem on the body of Dalit youth Madhukar of Manthani town.
In an interim order, the Court directed the State government to conduct re-postmortem to the body of Madhukar in the presence of Osmania Hospital doctors, Forensic Team, Chief Judicial Magistrate and parents of Madhukar. The Court also directed the government to take video of the re-postmortem and hand over the postmortem report to the Court in a sealed cover.
It may be recalled that were allegations that Madhukar, a tractor driver, who was in love affair with an upper caste girl, was allegedly done to death by the girl’s relatives and gave an impression that it was a suicide. The Dalit organizations were agitating on the issue alleging that it was a murder by upper caste people. (NSS)
