Division Bench consisting of Chief Justice of Hyderabad High Court, Justice Kalyan Jyoti Sengupta and Justice P.V. Sanjay Kumar took strong objection to the statements made by police officials in connection with Chittor firing since these officials were defending the action taken by the police in firing. The judges opined that the matter is in the court and hence police officials should restrain themselves from issuing press statements.
